Elder Tyler Sughroue Week #4

Dear Family and Friends,

So this week has been pretty crazy! My French is starting to really improve and I'm able to actually understand our instructor! Last Sunday was Fast Sunday and I bore my testimony in all French! So awesome! The Gift of Tongues is real and I will be blessed with it as long as I give 110%.

Elder Beane and I have been getting along a lot better. That's not to say we don't have our differences but I've been focusing the majority of my time here developing Christ-like attributes and so I'm defiantly developing Patience. I'm here at the MTC to become more like our Savior and Redeemer. I know that if I keep that as my focus, the Lord will bless me with the language.

Our devotionals have been amazing. Last night we talked about making sure we are teaching to what the investigators really need, instead of what we think they need. It takes being in tune with the Spirit and asking inspired questions. Every investigator is different and the Lord is preparing them to hear about His Gospel.
On Wednesday I got to be a host missionary for all the incoming missionaries! 940 missionaries reported! It was a record-breaking day. This is one the best times to be a missionary and the success of the work is going to push forward like never before! It was fun to watch all the Utah families who brought their 15 passenger van full, to drop of their one missionary.

Brooke White reported that day and she is doing great!

Yesterday I got to see Alex, Cassandra, and Jamey during our temple walk! I was so stoked to see them! It seriously was the boost I needed to get through this next week!

I've seen so many friends come into the MTC and leave! It makes me so stoked to get out into the field and serve the people of France!

My estimated departure date is on the June 24th! Exactly 2 weeks left! I haven't heard back about my visa yet but problems with French visa's are extremely rare.

Love you all and appreciate all the packages and letters.

Love
Elder Sughroue

P.S. Thank you to DiAnn's family for all the cards ! I loved reading them and seriously they were just what I needed! And Alexa, thank you for thinking of me while at EFY! I loved the peach rings, fudge, and the France flag pin!
