Week #16 - September 2, 2013

Dear Family & Friends,

This week has been good. Elder Oaks is coming in 2 weeks for a mission confrence and as a mission we set a goal, 4 months ago, to have 100 baptisms before he came. This past week we hit 100!! The mission is pumped because the work is really progressing in France! 

This coming Sunday our investigator, Audrey, is getting baptized! We learned to follow the promptings of Elder Sughroue's Stomach!  3 weeks ago we were doing some contacting on the streets and I started to get really hungry. We had no food at the apartment besides pasta ( Grandpa trained me well for that in Tonga) so I was like "we are going to McDonalds."  while Elder Webber was waiting to get his food, Audrey came and starting talking in English with him and asked why we are in France. After teaching her once we knew right away that she was going to be baptized! She is so motivated to learn and sends us texts all the time asking questions about things she has read in the Book of Mormon. She is so legit! 

Also earlier in the week, President had a meeting with the missionaries here in Versailles. As expected there is a group of people who are protesting the building of the temple. We were told if people start coming up to us ask about it, we are just to tell them to look at the church's website. He also said if you are stopped by a news crew don't talk to them :(    I was hoping to get my 15 seconds of fame. Just kidding. The temple is starting to progress alot more. They demolished and cleared all the buildings that were there before.

The work is moving forward!!!!
