Week #29 - December 2,2013

This week was pretty hard missionary work wise. we didn't have any lessons or find new  investigators but it will come!

Tuesday we spent the day doing service for our Branch President. We helped him place boards for a ceiling that he is working on and also cut up fire wood. That evening we went over to a less active family's house for dinner. We had some crazy good potato thing with a whole bunch of different French cheeses! It was so good!

Wednesday we had an exchange with the Elders of Troyes. We ended up having to take a bus through the countryside to get there. French countryside is beautiful but it is all cultivated and used. A little different than the open fields of America. Once we got there I found out that Elder Wooton and I were in charge of cleaning up the old apartment getting it ready to sale. Missionary apartments are disgusting... Luckily so far I have been in new apartments so I haven't had to really deal with the nastiness that comes from an apartment that has been used by missionaries for years.  Although the one we are in right now has roaches so all of our food is in tupperware containers.

Thursday was thanksgiving! We had a zone thanksgiving dinner in Paris and so we spent the day eating and playing ping-pong. Every church here has a ping-pong table??? I don't know why they just do. We missed our train to go back to Auxerre because of a problem with the metro so we didn't get back to Auxerre till late that night.

saturday was our branches thanksgiving activity. The branch here really went all out for us. they had a so much food prepared it was awesome. Elder tryon and i were incharge of the desert so we made some dutch apple pir from scratch!! The branch loved it and wanted the recipe( we just found it online).

SO yeah that was my week. This is the last week of the transfer and odds are that I will be getting a new comp.

Hope you have a good week

Love
