| Auxerre January 2014 |
Hey so this week was pretty good. Glad to hear everyone is doing
well. Congrats to Mathew for getting married.
Well for starters looks like ill be in Auxerre for another six weeks
with Elder Wells. It's been a hard area but me and Elder Wells are pretty much
the same person and best friends so that makes life so much easier.
Mariama got confirmed on Sunday. but not with out any difficulties...
Saturday we got a call from her saying she wasn't coming. She wouldn't really
give us a direct reason why so we called our branch president and he picked us
up and we went over to her place. Turns out when I was talking to her on
the phone earlier in the week she got offended by something I said.......... we got it all worked out and
she realized that was not what I meant... I guess I need to keep working on my
French ..... but she came to church the next day happy as can be so we are
glad.
We have a new investigator whose name is Nicholas. He is 32 and just
looking for religion. Doesn't really know much about religion at all but he
read part of the Book of Mormon and told us that he thinks its true! We will
have a couple more rendez-vous this week.
We also found this family from Ghana , the Matilda family. They are
super chill and open to talk to us. Plus we are teaching them in English! Solid
find!
We are trying to work with a less active in the ward and just help
him get motivated to do something with his life. We are gonna start helping him
quit smoking to start out.
But yeah this week was pretty solid. Pretty excited I'm with Elder Wells
for another transfer.
