So Monday I had my little operation to remove the cyst ... that kinda sucked. but you know it's better now and I have a follow up rdv with the doctor in friday.
But now for the awesome stuff!
So since this was the 1st week we were here for the majority of the week. We were actaully able to get some work done! We went porting and found a family!! Like a real French family! haha They are awesome! The parents are Stefan and Madeline and they have 2 young boys ages 9 & 6. They kinda believe in God but are not attached to any religion. But on the other hand they send their boys to a Catholic school in order to elarn correct virtues. We taught them about Joseph Smith a little the 1st time and we fixed another RDV. We came back two days later and taught them about the Book of Mormon and they loved it! They committed to start reading it and pray about it with their children. They even made us a cake! So yeah it was such a tender mercy to find this family!
Also, so Alexandre was baptised! He had his interview on Thursday but during it he said he couldn't say that Joseph Smith was a prophet because he hadn't recieved a spiritual confrimation of it. So Elder Oviatt (who conducted the interview) told him to go home and pray so he can recieve a confrimation and that we would meet the next morning. So after wards I sent out a text to our zone asking them all to pray that he will be able to have a confrimation. So the next morning he had another interview and he said that the night before he stayed up till 3AM!!! He spent the whole time reading the Book of Mormon, confrence talks, and praying trying to find his answer and he did! The power of prayer is amazing! he said after last night there is no way he could deny that Joseph Smith was called as a prophet of God.
Saturday was his baptism and it was such awesome experience! Alexandre ended up bringing with him his brother, his ex girlfriend (who he broke up with and changed apartments so he could be baptized) and a random friend he invited on his way to the church! Now his brother and exgirlfrined and his friend are super interested and we will be teaching them hopefully this week!! Seriously super awesome week!
If anything I learned this week it was "ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith. " The past month has been super hard work-wise simply because we were never here because we were constantly going to Paris for the cyst.. but once it was all over we recieved our witness that our efforts were not lost and the Lord blessed us!
Also We now have a new mission president. The Babins! We have zone confrences this week so i'll give you more info about them later.
So yeah thanks for all the prayers love you!
